McLaren Builders is a family owned and operated building company based right here on the Bass Coast.

Founded by David and Danielle McLaren, the business has grown from the ground up with a simple philosophy: build with integrity, look after people and never compromise on quality.

For us, it’s about creating homes that our clients are genuinely proud to live in, and building relationships that last long after the project is finished, which is why we proudly have so many referrals and repeat clients.

David brings over 20+ years of experience in the building industry and is very much hands on with every project. He takes enormous pride in his workmanship and loves seeing a project come together. Quality has always been the standard he has built the McLaren name on.

Dani is the other half of the business. Alongside managing the day to day running of McLaren Builders, Dani has a natural eye for design and a great understanding of how the details come together. She loves helping clients make decisions throughout their build, whether that’s choosing finishes, refining ideas or simply helping bring their vision to life.

We live here, work here and are proud to be part of the Bass Coast community. David is a local junior footy coach, and we love being involved in the community that has supported our family and our business over the years.

We’re incredibly proud of the relationships we have built with our contractors and suppliers. Many of the people we work with have been part of the McLaren team for more than 10 years. We know who we are working with, we know the quality of their work and, just as importantly, we trust them.

That continuity matters. It means our clients aren’t only getting a builder. They’re getting a team of people who know each other, take pride in their work and genuinely care about the finished result.

Family is at the heart of everything we do.

When we’re not building, you’ll usually find us enjoying the outdoors.

We have two children, Chloe and Ryan, and our family wouldn’t be complete without Gem, our beautiful dog and of course our chickens and ducks. Our family loves going away camping, mountain bike riding and motorbike riding whenever we get the chance.

That connection to family, the outdoors and our local community is a big part of why we love building on the Bass Coast. We understand that a home is more than just a building. It’s where family life happens, where weekends are spent and where memories are made.

After years in the industry, we still get excited about seeing a project come together.

We love the process, from the early ideas and design decisions through to watching the final details fall into place. We love working with good people, solving problems and seeing our clients walk through their finished home for the first time.
