Behind every McLaren Builders home is a passionate team of professionals who care deeply about their craft. Our builders, project managers and support staff bring decades of combined experience in the Bass Coast building industry. Each member shares the same goal: to deliver homes that exceed expectations for quality, function and style.
From initial design consultations to final inspections, our team maintains clear communication and absolute attention to detail. We take pride in being approachable, reliable and easy to work with, qualities that keep our clients returning project after project.
We collaborate with trusted local trades who share our standards for workmanship and professionalism. Together, we create homes that stand strong against coastal conditions and remain timeless in design.
With over 10+ years in the building industry, and starting the business from the ground up David has the experience and capabilities to deliver your dream project on time, on budget whilst maintaining the level of quality that he has built his name on. Dave has a passion for building and feels a sense of achievement being able to hand over the keys to your new build. Danielle forms the other half of this family run business. She has worked behind the scenes since the beginning and is proud of how far the business has come. Danielle comes with vast experience in both sales and administration within the building industry. She can be found working on all aspects of estimating, administration, accounts, marketing and everything in between. Annie started with McLaren Builders as our Social Media Manager before stepping into the role of Project Coordinator as well. You’ll usually find her trying to get the inbox down to zero, keeping projects organised and clients updated every step of the way. If she’s not in the office, she’s probably on site following the team around with a camera, capturing content for social media. When she’s not at work, she’s spending time with her family, squeezing in a round of golf, or chasing after her baby who’s learning to walk.
With 20 years of experience as a carpenter, Ben has been a vital part of our team since 2021, expertly leading the carpentry team with skill and dedication. As a father of two, he brings not only his craftsmanship but also a nurturing spirit to our work environment. Ben’s extensive knowledge and hands-on approach ensure that every project is completed to the highest standard.
When he’s not shaping wood, you can find him on the golf course or playing cricket, proving that whether it’s in work or play, he always aims for the perfect score!
Starting as an apprentice in 2020, Josh has grown into a skilled and qualified carpenter who plays an important role within our team. Known for his reliability, attention to detail, and quality workmanship, he approaches every project with professionalism and care.
When he’s not on site, Josh enjoys spending time in the water, with surfing being one of his favourite ways to unwind.
Hayden became a qualified carpenter in May 2026 and has been an important part of the McLaren Builders team for several years. He’s known for being hardworking, reliable and always willing to lend a hand. With a great sense of humour and a genuinely kind nature, Hayden brings a positive energy to every job site and is well liked by clients, suppliers and the team. When he’s not on the tools, you’ll usually find him camping or fishing and enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer. We’re excited to see what the future holds for Hayden as he continues to build on his skills and experience.
Jarvis is a 2nd year apprentice who is steadily developing his skills and confidence on the tools. He has a great work ethic, is always keen to learn, and brings a friendly, approachable attitude to site. Outside of work, he enjoys four wheel driving. We’re excited to see him continue growing throughout his apprenticeship.
We welcomed Noah to the McLaren Builders team as an apprentice in May 2026. Noah is always ready to get stuck in and give things a go. He’s a great sport, brings a positive attitude to site each day, and is quickly finding his feet on site. We’re excited to watch Noah develop his skills, build his confidence and grow throughout his apprenticeship with us. When Noah’s not at work, you’ll find him in the gym, surfing or playing footy.
